Located 100 km northwest of the capital Santo Domingo, the Pueblo Viejo mine project is the largest ever foreign investment in the Dominican Republic. With gold reserves estimated at 25.3 million ounces it is the largest undeveloped goldmine in the world, and with a production capacity of 24,000 tonnes / day it is the world’s fourth largest operational goldmine.
