Structural Steel Designer Awards 2022 - Triton Square, London
AwardsFrancisco Loureiro, Nuno Marques and Rob Winser, along with the project team, Arup, LendLease and British Land, recently collected a 2022 UK Structural Steel Design Award on behalf of WHL from Gary Simmons (BCSA President Elect) for the Triton Square project – an exemplar of sustainable design and construction.
Judges Comment: “This outstanding project is an exemplar of sustainability thanks to the use of steel. It demonstrates how an existing building can be almost doubled in floor area, for a fraction of the embodied carbon of a new building the same size.
The achievement was a clear team effort where all options and details were scrutinised to meet the client’s tough brief.”
