Apprentice of the Year

As we launch our 2025 apprenticeship scheme, we’re also taking the opportunity to celebrate the brilliant work and achievements of current apprentices learning their craft with us here at William Hare.

One stand-out mention goes to Zari Farhan from our Bury facility, who has been awarded Level 3 Apprentice of the Year at the Hopwood Hall College & Uni Centre Apprenticeship Awards.

The awards recognise outstanding efforts from apprentices at various stage of their development. Having now reached Level 3 of his apprenticeship, Zari’s dedication and drive to succeed gained him his nomination and saw him take home the award.

Gary Sollitt, Production Apprentice Coordinator at our Bury facility said: “Zari’s hard work during his apprenticeship has been incredible, he’s faced challenges along the way but maintained his dedication and enthusiasm to learn throughout. We’re all so proud of him and hope he’s proud of himself for this brilliant achievement.”

To receive his award, Zari was joined by William Hare team members Gary Sollitt, Ross Kenny, Ema Marinho and Kirsty Brennan, as well as our colleagues from John Sisk & Son Ltd, Christina Nichols and Katherine Bollard-Wilkes.

This is an incredible achievement for Zari, and the team are so proud of how much he has developed as an Apprentice Fabricator, Welder in such a short space of time.

Very well done Zari!
