William Hare were engaged to undertake connection design, temp works, detailing, fabrication, treatment and erection of this enabling works package in London to create a podium of steelwork as part of a residential development over the top of a major post office sorting station.
William Hare installed a number of large trusses and plate girders above post office road ways, delivery areas and logistics routes to create the podium space – some of which was subsequently used as green space for the development. Maintaining Post Office operations during erection and working around the historic Post Office railway lines below were all constraints successfully navigated by the William Hare team.
